Square Wheels

Why is the shop called ‘Square Wheels’?
Because it’s in the square in Strathpeffer. You didn’t think it referred to a bike with square wheels did you?

Square WheelsWho runs Square Wheels?
Square Wheels happened when Steve woke up one morning and found a bike shop in his garage. Steve is also the  organiser of the World-famous Strathpuffer 24  MTB race, and has been involved in trail building and trail access since he was in short trousers.

How big is the shop?
Square Wheels is one of those few buildings which are actually bigger on the inside than they are on the outside. Put another way, it has a cubic footage equivalent to eight phone boxes standing on top of each other.

Why is the phone always engaged?
Steve is a very popular guy.

What makes Square Wheels special?
Personal service, attention to detail and our ‘no queue’ guarantee. (If there are more than three people in front of you, we’ll close the shop.)

What are the opening hours?
Square Wheels never closes except for Sundays & Mondays when we're out on the trails. The shop will also be shut from 12.30-1.00pm on Christmas Day.

Terms and Conditions


We could have a load of gumph here about your rights, our rights, what we'll do if the courier drops your bike on his foot etc, but the bottom line is this; like any sensible business our number one aim is happy customers. If anything goes wrong we'll do everything in our power to rectify it.

These are Square Wheels Terms and Conditions of sale to which all purchases are subject. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time, without notice. Any changes will take effect when posted on our website. By using this website you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

The Contract


Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between us (Square Wheels) and you, (the customer), will take place when the goods have been paid for by you and despatched by us. Any email, order confirmation or other electronic acknowledgement by us of receipt of an order does not constitute legal acceptance by Square Wheels of your order. In the event that there are any errors regarding price or description, we reserve the right to notify you as soon as possible and give you the options to proceed with this revised order at the correct price/description, or to cancel the order. In these circumstances, upon cancellation, your credit/debit card will be refunded in full.

All prices are shown in £ sterling and include V.A.T. where appropriate. We regret we are not able to offer VAT exclusive pricing for deliveries to the Channel Islands.

If an administrative error has resulted in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct that price and notify you accordingly. In these circumstances, it will be deemed that a contract has not been entered into and you will not be bound to continue with your purchase. You will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed at the correct price, however, should you choose not to do so, your monies will be refunded to your credit/debit card in full. The repayment of such monies paid to us will be the extent of our liability to you in the event of pricing errors.

Ordering Goods

No contract will exist until payment has been received and goods have been dispatched. This will be deemed to be our acceptance of your order and to have been effectively communicated to you. Please note that the only language in which the contract can be concluded is English.

Payment

We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards registered at UK addresses.

Please ensure that the expiriy date of your credit/debit card is after the anticipated despatch date of your order. Payment will be debited from your account just before the despatch of your goods, and if your payment card has expired, we will be unable to take payment and fulfill your order.

Liability

The majority of card issuers cover all the charges that may result from unauthorised use of your credit card or debit cards, but some may limit your liability to £50. If you believe your credit or debit card has been subject to unauthorised use you should contact your card issuer without delay.

Delivery of Goods

For deliveries to non- UK addresses and certain remote locations e.g. Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and the Channel Islands there may be an additional delivery charge and slightly longer delivery lead-time.

Goods can be delivered either to your home address, to an alternative address or to your work.

A signature is required for all Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and courier deliveries.

If your order contains more than one product the individual products may, on occasions, be sent on multiple dispatches at no extra charge.

Your order will be delivered either by Royal Mail, Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or by courier.A signature is required for all Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and courier deliveries. Goods delivered by courier should arrive between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.All courier deliveries must be signed for.If you are out when the courier arrives the courier will leave a card with the contact number for you to call to arrange a suitable time for redelivery or for you to collect the goods from the local depot.

Deliveries to non- UK or remote locations may take longer.

Please note that if your order is made up of a combination of items, deliveries may, on occasion be made separately.

Risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery.

We reserve the right to alter or amend delivery times in exceptional circumstances.
We do everything we can to meet the delivery time specified , however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed.We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay. In the event that we fail to meet a specified delivery date you will have the option of either cancelling your order and receiving a full refund, or continuing with the order and accepting a refund of any additional delivery charge we have made.

A Tracking number can be issued on request.

Delivery times quoted above can vary depending on stock availability and delivery location.

After-sales Service and Guarantees

Where applicable, details of manufacturers guarantees or service arrangements will be provided with the product.After sales service and warranty/guarantee claims will be dealt with by Square Wheels.

If you would like to receive a copy of a guarantee for a particular product prior to purchase, please ask.

Complaints and Queries

If you are not happy with any aspect of our service, discover a fault with our website, or if you have any queries or comments relating to an order, please contact us.

Unwanted Goods

If you decide that you do not want any item that we have delivered, we are happy to offer you an exchange or refund within 28 days of delivery, provided that it is returned to us in its original and unused condition (including in its original packaging), along with the wrapping and delivery note (as proof of purchase).

Warranty returns

For faulty items, we will, upon receipt of the product, examine it or we may have to return it to the manufacturer for examination. We aim to dispatch a replacement product, arrange a repair or refund your money within 14 days.

Returns will be made at Customers expense.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
